2002 Season - Week 18
Wildcard Weekend
Two magnificent comebacks in Sunday’s games left the BUMS with plenty of points but I do feel for Cleveland and NY Giants who both outplayed the opposition through three quarters only to crumble in the waining moments. Those high scoring games resulted in 8 owners scoring over 30 points and you have to feel for Phil and Dave G who put up 37 and 34 respectively and were still outscored. Unfortunately Ron made a Rookie mistake and forgot to send a team in. The NFL match-ups are listed below in BUMS on Seats but the BUMS Divisional games are as follows. Gareth (1) v Aaron (15), David S (3) v Mark (12), Wayne (4) v Marcus (11) and Daz (8) v Paul (10). The number in brackets is the seeding and is based on points scored in the regular season. TEAMS to me by FRIDAY 9pm.
All-BUMS Voting
Yes it’s that time again where we look to you to vote for your favourite players of 2002. To assist you I have attached the top scoring players at each position. As per usual I need in order your top 3 Running Backs and top 3 Receivers together with your number 1 & 2 Quarterbacks, Kickers and Coaches. These should be with me by Monday 20th January so that the votes can be counted and the team can be announced at the BUMS Superbowl Party on Sunday January 26th at BUMS HQ from 10:30pm.
Franchise Players 2003-2004
It’s also time for you to decide which player on your roster you intend to sign for another two years at the price you paid him this season. We lose our Franchise Players signed for 2001 and 2002 who are Griese (Dave G), Garcia (Marcus), Gonzalez (Paul), Lewis (John), R Williams (Daz), Mare (AP), McNabb (Johnny), A. Green (David S), George (Phil) and Culpepper (Gareth). Already cut are Grbac-retired (Cheryl) and due to injury L. Smith (Andy H) and Andersen (Mark). Everyone has to sign a new Franchise player. Again the Top Scorers may help you decide but if not the final rosters sent last week should help. As with the All-BUMS voting this information needs to be with me by Monday 20th January.
